**Tricks of the Trade Series - Submission #4**

SubItUp Online Scheduling is a very robust platform.  There is an incredible amount of functions that you may not be aware of.  This blog series will bring to the forefront, a number of helpful tips or tricks that can make your scheduling life a little better.

***Todays Tip:**  Adding Shift Notes**

![images-2](https://blog.subitup.com/hs-fs/hub/19757/file-1372841913.jpg?width=250&name=file-1372841913.jpg)A very simple portion of creating and managing shifts gets overlooked.   Within each shift that you create for your staff, you have the ability to add notes to the shift, generally or individually.  

This is extremely helpful with organizing your staff and providing them with as much information that is needed to successfully / efficiently work the shift.

This is also a great spot to add links to helpful resources, such as, game schedules, contact lists, helpful forms, etc...

This can be accomplished in general by adding it to the general shift info during the creation of the shift template.

Or it can be individualized per employee by utilizing the edit feature on your calendar and selcting "Add A Note".
