I recently read a post on an industry discussion boardcamera about employee accountability. This specific post had to do with weekend shifts and making sure employees were doing what was required.  A discussion board member offered up the idea of utilizing dropcam to keep an eye on things while there is no manager on duty. This immediately got me thinking about a George Orwell 1984 reference.

However, considering I am a technology junky and I do believe that we should take advanatge of the tools that we have at our disposal, this did not seem so Big Brother'ish after all.   To use video surveillance or to not us video surveillance?  The answer is not black or white.   I keep coming up with various scenarios that have diffinitive answers in both directions.
